Bob answers letter sent to him by other distributors .in this letter Bob very clearly explains the difference between our range of Bioflows.

Given an explanation of the relay magnet's advantages, and a demonstration with a mini-magnet in the palm of their hand jumping around when Bioflow is moved across the back of their hand, most customers choose one of the relay magnet products. For the mini-magnet, use a relay magnet from an old Bioflow strap.

Of course, if someone can afford no more than £35, then the entry-level Classic is the right product for them. And for some people the Classic works well and provides an adequate level of treatment, but I would always tell them that they can upgrade to the double-strength Bioflow in the future if they find they need something stronger.

The Pirouette achieves the same effect as the relay-magnet Bioflows, but in a slightly different way. The two large-ish CRP modules in the Pirouette form an arc of magnetic field between them when worn on the wrist. This arc reaches deep into the wrist's tissues and blood vessels and some report a slightly bigger effect from Pirouette than with the relay magnet Bioflows.

The Duo/Duet/Monet feature two small magnet modules which don't appear to form the same arc of field as the Pirouette. Feedback suggests that some people get a result similar to the Classic, some get a result closer to the relay-magnet Bioflows. It all depends on how good the fit is, which opens a whole new can of worms…

The information that comes with the Duo/Duet/Monet says they are designed to be worn loose, but I beg to differ! The original Duo and Duet models were designed to place the two small magnet modules directly over the two pulse points of the wrist. (Yes, there are two pulse points, about 1.5 inches apart on most people.) The original Duo/Duet were made of a soft copper alloy, and in three sizes, so they could be moulded to fit snugly and would therefore keep the modules over the pulse points. They came with instructions to that effect.

But then the product changed, with the Duet being based on the same stainless steel material as the Monet which was introduced at the same time. These couldn't be opened and closed nearly so easily, and couldn't be moulded to fit the wrist in the same way as the Duo. Even with three sizes, for some people the Duet and Monet will either be too tight, too loose or, if squeezed up snug, the magnets are not over the pulse points. These people may not get the full benefit of the magnotherapy treatment, and in my opinion - for these few people - a Duet or a Monet is not the right product for them.

Some distributors disagree with me and are happy to sell these products to anyone, irrespective of how well they fit them. But for me, effective magnotherapy treatment is what we are selling our customers, not a pretty bangle. You must decide how you wish to advise your own customers, I can only tell you the history and background to these products and the feedback I have seen and heard over the years, and let you make up your own mind.
