Work continues around Huntingdon. Here is a list and progress report about current projects as originally published in the Huntingdon Town Centre Partnership newsletter.
 New A14 route - The Highways Agency announced the preferred route of the A14, Ellington to Fen Drayton, as the orange route. The existing A14 through Huntingdon will become a local road and the Huntingdon Railway viaduct will be removed. Subject to funding and completion of statutory procedures, construction of the new route is expected to start in 2010.

 New bus lane proposed - an eastbound bus lane at the junction of Hinchingbrooke Park Road and Brampton Road in Huntingdon is planned for construction in summer 2008 by Cambridgeshire County Council. The bus lane will start at Hinchingbrooke Park Road close to the entrance of Cambridgeshire Constabulary Headquarters and run in east onto Brampton Road and will end about 100 metres short of the railway bridge. In addition to the new bus lane, a new Toucan crossing for pedestrians and cyclists, is proposed to cross Brampton Road. The improvements to bus travel is all part of the Guided bus route, which is planned for completion in Spring 2009.

 New library, Lawrence Court and 110 apartments - work is well under way on phase two of the Cambridgeshire County Council development between Walden Road (ring road) and Princes Street. Demolition of the old library and portacabins, adjacent to Lawrence Court, has made way for an archaeological dig. Construction is likely to start in the New Year.
 Pathfinder House and Godmanchester depot - work continues on the new Pathfinder House. The Godmanchester depot is to become a public car park with work expected to be complete in spring.
 Car parking consultation for Huntingdon - Huntingdonshire District Council has reviewed car parking in the major towns in the district. The consultation period ended in December.
